A minor accident occurred today at 5:30 pm in Bradford Township. The accident occurred near the intersection of Niles Hollow and Songbird Road. The caller reported that there were no injuries, but a very young driver had struck the embankment in that area. Police responded to the area, but the driver had already left.

A senior criminal justice major at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford has secured an internship with the U.S. Marshals Service for this summer. Ryan Monoski of Mill Hall will spend 270 hours at the U.S. Courthouse in Williamsport, observing marshals at work in the courtroom and holding cells and helping perform research.

Tack’s Inn, a bar and grille at the intersection of Route 219 and Route 59 has been cited by the PA State Police. Tack’s Inn has been charged for operating without a valid health permit. The permit they were previously operating with expired on January 11th.

William M. Hearnley, 91 of Tonawanda, NY, formerly of Bradford, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2010 at the Kenmore Mercy Hospital, Kenmore, NY. He was born on April 13, 1918 in Danville, IL. On October 11, 1941 in the Bradford Emmanuel Lutheran Church he married Elizabeth A. Johnson, who survives.
