Rope Rescue at Willow Bay Campground
At around 4:30 pm, Corydon Township FD and Bradford City Ambulance were called to Willow Bay Campground.
A woman had fallen and had possibly broken her leg in, or near the bay.
At 4:58 pm, crews responding asked that the “rope rescue trailer” from Corydon Township FD be dispatched to the scene, because callers were stating that the woman was possibly down over a bank.
At 5:05 pm, the rope rescue was confirmed, and Bradford Township FD personnel were called to the scene for additional manpower. A helicopter was also put on standby.
At 5:21 pm, the Bradford Township Rescue truck was dispatched to the Hemlock Loop area of Willow Bay Campground. The patient was being transported by boat to that area.
At 5:35 pm, it was confirmed that a medical chopper would be landing at Willow Bay to transport the patient to an out of area hospital.
